it’s so HOT HOT HOT that i’m melting!!! but that doesn’t stop me from BAKING!!
today i had my consumer behavior test which carries 15% out of the whole course marks.that is A LOT of marks and i screwed it as usual.
fell asleep and drooled on my test paper.i bet the lecturer will be wondering what water mark is that on my paper.
anyway it’s over and i can’t do anything about it.so i baked something that really worth drooling for. :D
Ingredients
4 eggs,separated
1 cup caster sugar
1/3 cup melted butter
1 tbsp finely grated orange rind
1/4 cup cold water
1 1/2 cup self raising flour
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
2 tbsp fresh orange juice
Methods
Mixture 1:
egg yolks + 1/2 of the sugar (beat till pale & thick)
+
melted butter+ orange rind + cold water (till combined)
+
flour
Mixture 2:
egg whites + cream of tartar (beat till soft peaks appear)
+
remaining sugar (beat till dissolved)
fold Mixture 2 into Mixture 1 in 2 batches
pour into pan and bake for 50 minutes at 150 degree Celsius
and my ♥ORANGE CHIFFON CAKE♥ is done
=)
p/s: i used less sugar cause i don’t want it to be so sweet and added chocolate chips to the top.but all that’s optional.
